EghtesadOnline: The annual capacity of Iranian steel companies has reached 39.82 million tons, according to new data released by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization.
EghtesadOnline: The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development has predicted Iran’s nominal annual crude steelmaking capacity to reach 54.4 million tons by 2022, an increase of 51% compared to the capacity level of 36 million tons registered by the end of 2019.
EghtesadOnline: Despite the 25% customs duty imposed on the export of iron ore, the export of raw materials used in steelmaking is continuing and the duties have not discouraged exporters at all, the managing director of Esfahan Steel Company said.
