EghtesadOnline: A discussion was held by Sri Lanka's Plantation Industries Minister Navin Dissanayake on Thursday for resuming tea export to Iran, which was constrained by US sanctions on the latter.
EghtesadOnline: More than 1,600 tons of tea were exported from Iran during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21), Habibollah Jahansaz, the head of Iran Tea Organization, said.
EghtesadOnline: Iran exported 16,326 tons of tea worth $19 million to 37 countries in the last Iranian year (March 2018-19), which shows an 11.4% and 2.3% rise in weight and value respectively compared with the previous year, the head of Iran Tea Organization said.
EghtesadOnline: Iran exported 12,600 tons of tea to 34 countries since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2018).
EghtesadOnline: Tea exports will be permitted as before and no bans will be imposed on its shipments. This was notified by director general of exports affairs with the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration to customs offices across the country on Saturday.
