Contraband

  • EghtesadOnline: About 54 trillion rials ($329 million) worth of contraband goods were confiscated by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration and other organizations fighting smuggling, including the Law Enforcement Force (police) during the last Iranian year (March 2019-20), according to IRICA’s spokesman.

  • EghtesadOnline: A total of 13,000 tons of contraband worth 800 billion rials ($5.63 million) were destroyed in the 10 months to Jan. 20, according to the deputy head of the Organization for Collection and Sale of State-owned Properties of Iran.
