EghtesadOnline: President Vladimir Putin has ordered Russian troops to escort out the defeated elements willing to leave the recently-liberated city of Aleppo in Syria.

A ceasefire has been established in the Syrian city since early Thursday following its liberation from the terrorist groups.

The Syrian Army took control of the east of Aleppo and managed to liberate the strategic region, then let the terrorists leave the area according an binding agreement, IRNA reported.

On December 14, a number of senior Iranian officials did extend congratulations to the Syrian government, nation and Army on the liberation of Aleppo.

As Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Shamkhani has said, the outstanding performance of the Syrian Army during the past six years to defend Syria when dealing with the armed-to-the-teeth terrorists in that country is appreciated.
