EghtesadOnline: A fledgling Iranian startup named Attarmart based in the northeastern city of Mashhad is seeking to carve out a niche for itself in Iran’s herbs and spices market.

The startup’s name is a mash-up of Attar and mart. Attars are inseparable parts of Iranian culture that are simultaneously traditional doctors, herbal medicine and spice suppliers and perfume makers.

With the motto of enhancing health in Iranian households, the business operates through the website which customers can visit to submit their orders in areas of culinary and medicinal herbs.

Attarmart is a specialized online shop, providing fresh spices, healing herbs and seeds and various kinds of herbal teas, Financial Tribune reported.

According to the website, the firm strives to provide quality products at reasonable prices. All items are planted in Iran are obtained from locals.

The online shopping platform holds an electronic emblem of trust (e-Namad) issued by the Ministry of Industries, bestowed on trusted online businesses.

In contrast with other online shops, Attarmart has decided to set a lower price limit for free-of-charge deliveries. Orders priced above 500,000 rials ($11.9) receive free shipping.

Customers can place orders at any time of the day and are supposed to receive them within a time span of 3 hours to 2 days. All orders are insured, and customers receiving damaged packages will be refunded by the courier.
