EghtesadOnline: The Nigerian government and Iranian Embassy representatives in Abuja have voiced interest in building a closer technology partnership.

Nigeria's minister of science and technology, Ogbonnaya Onu in a meeting with Iran’s ambassador, Morteza Zarchi, said they are  discussing ways to expand technology relations, according to the Nigerian Guardian.  Onu noted Iran's investment in its ICT and startup sectors and recommended using Iranian experience to boost Nigeria's technology sector. The minister said science and technology investment could help Nigeria boost job creation. Zarchi stressed that Nigeria and Iran are actively exploring ways to undertake joint ICT projects to diversify their relations. Iranian technology companies will visit the African state to explore prospects for joint projects, Financial Tribune reported.
