EghtesadOnline: Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Jaberi-Ansari said on Sunday that Iran will continue all-out support for Iraq in its campaign against terrorism as extremism and terrorism are serious threats to region and the whole world.

Jaberi-Ansari made the remarks during a meeting in Baghdad with Deputy Foreign Minister of Iraq for political affairs Nazar Khairallah, said a report appeared on his personal Telegram channel. 

He is in the Iraqi capital as a member of a delegation accompanying Iran's Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani in his ongoing visit to Iraq, reports IRNA.

The Iranian diplomat underlined the need for joint endeavor of Iran and Iraq to help resolve the ongoing crises and problems in the region.

Meanwhile, the Iraqi diplomat discussed common threats and interests as well as strategic relations between the two countries. 

He also appreciated Iran's support for Iraq.

Khairallah said the campaign against terrorism is the top priority of Iraq at present.

He expressed hope that in light of the growing consultation and cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad, bilateral ties could further expand between the two capitals.
