EghtesadOnline: Iran's Ambassador in Baghdad Iraj Masjedi met with Iraqi Trade Minister Alaa Ahmad al-Jubouri to discuss ways of promoting trade cooperation between the two neighbors.

The two sides reviewed the agenda of the fourth meeting of Iran-Iraq Economic Commission and discussed issues that can be pursued within this framework, ISNA reported. 

The meeting was held on Jan. 11-12 in Tehran with the Iraqi trade minister heading a high-ranking delegation.

The two countries explored ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in different areas based on geographical, cultural and religious commonalities.

Al-Jubouri also held separate talks with top Iranian officials during his visit, including First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri as chairman of the joint commission. 

The upcoming visit of Iranian Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Alireza Razm-Hosseini to Baghdad was also raised for making coordination.
