EghtesadOnline: The headquarters of the upcoming parliamentary elections was officially inaugurated during a ceremony in Tehran on Monday in the presence of Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli.

The 11th round of Majlis elections is due to be held on Feb. 21, 2020.

"Around 20 executive organizations in the security, social and media sectors as well as the supervisory body of the Guardians Council are cooperating with us in [the conduct of] the elections," he was quoted as saying by IRNA.

Rahmani called on factions and candidates to foster a constructive competition so as to pave the way for people's broader participation, according to Financial Tribune.

"We have about 83 days left to the elections and hope these will be glorious and healthy, and held in a safe environment, with great participation and in accordance with the rule of law," he said.
