EghtesadOnline: First Vice President Es'haq Jahangiri extended congratulations to Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on the National Day of the People's Republic of China, which is celebrated on Oct. 1.
"I am certain that collaboration with you and cooperation between the two countries' relevant organizations will prepare the ground for expansion of relations and for moving from commercial trade to strategic economic ties with the Chinese government," he said in his message to Li, IRNA reported.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry also expressed congratulations on the occasion, wishing prosperity for the people and government of China.
"I hope that strategic and comprehensive relations between Iran and China will be further developed and deepened," the ministry's spokesman, Abbas Mousavi, wrote on his Twitter account, according to Financial Tribune.
Tuesday marked 70 years since the founding of China and a series of ceremonial events, including a grand military parade were organized in Beijing.
The Chinese also prepare for a seven-day public holiday known as the Golden Week.
