EghtesadOnline: President Hassan Rouhani is heading for a two-day visit to Ankara on Wednesday at the head of a high-ranking political and economic delegation to take part in the fifth meeting of Iran-Turkey High Council of Strategic Cooperation.

The meeting will be jointly chaired by Rouhani and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to Deputy Presidential Chief of Staff for Communications and Information Parviz Esmaeili.

“During this trip, important political, economic and cultural documents will be signed by the two presidents,” he was quoted as saying by the president’s official news portal.

The Iran-Turkey High Council of Strategic Cooperation was established after Rouhani’s first trip to Turkey during his first term in office. Within this framework, the two presidents have set a $30 billion target for mutual trade, Financial Tribune reported.
