EghtesadOnline: Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Austrian counterpart Sebastian Kurz, who is expected to become the European country’s chancellor, conferred on various issues in a phone conversation.
During the Saturday talks, Zarif congratulated Kurz on the victory of his party in Austria’s parliamentary elections and wished him success in his new post, the chancellor of Austria.
The two sides also exchanged views on ways to enhance bilateral ties, the implementation of a nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers (known as JCPOA), and other issues of mutual interest, ISNA reported.
Kurz, for his part, underlined the need for all parties to the JCPOA to remain committed to the deal, and reaffirmed Vienna’s support for its implementation.
He also stressed that Iran should be able to reap all the benefits of the nuclear deal.
