EghtesadOnline: In a meeting with Qatari Prime Minister, the chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee submitted an invitation to Qatari officials to attend the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President.
After meeting with Omani officials on Sunday evening, Allaeddin Boroujerdi, chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee arrived in Doha, capital of Qatar, on July 30 and immediately met Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
At the beginning of the meeting, Boroujerdi submitted the letter of invitation from the President of the Iran’s Parliament to the Qatari Prime Minister in which Ali Larijani invites the Qatari officials and the Emir of that country to participate in the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Hassan Rohani, according to ISNA.
Referring to the sanctions imposed on Qatar, he recognized them as cruel and confident that Doha will emerge honorable from the current difficult condition.
For his part, the Qatari Prime Minister thanked the visit of the Iranian parliamentary delegation to Doha and stressed that a high-ranking delegation from Qatar will participate in the inauguration ceremony of the Iranian president.
"We will never forget the accompaniment of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the time of the sanctions and we appreciate it," insisted Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
