EghtesadOnline: Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah Seyed Hassan Nasrallah said on Friday that the Saudi regime is too weak and too scared to go into a war with Iran.

Nasrallah made the remarks while commenting on certain stances made recently by the Saudi rulers against Iran.

“The goal of the recent incidents is to forget the cause of Palestine,” Nasrallah said while addressing a ceremony held in southern suburbs of Beirut.

According to IRNA, the ceremony was held to mark the International Quds Day which is held worldwide annually on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan to demonstrate support for the cause of Palestine and express hatred towards atrocities of the Zionist occupiers against the defenseless Palestinians.

As the Saudi rulers have acknowledged, they are trying to take war into Iran with the help of the Takfiri groups., Nasrallah added.

Since a few years ago, said the Hezbollah leader, the region has entered a determining and historic stage. One of the reasons behind the existing circumstances in the region is to prepare the political ground for putting an end to the problem of Palestine in a way which will benefit the Zionist Israel, he said.

He noted that putting the issue of Palestine into oblivion is the main goal of the events in the region over the past few years.

Noting that after victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, the late Imam Khomeini designated the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadhan as the International Quds Day, Nasrallah said, the day does not belong to Iran or the Arab world; rather, it is the 'International' Quds Day.

Nasrallah added that the Zionist regime is counting on the Arab countries to achieve its goals through normalization of bilateral ties with certain Arab states in the region.

This is a dangerous event which has been put on the agenda of the Zionist regime, said the senior cleric.

Referring to Hezbollah repeated victories in the recent years as a deterrence for the Zionists, Nasrallah stressed that leaders of the Zionist regime know that any war would cost them dearly that is why they prevent to enter a war.
