Deputy FM to address UNHRC in Geneva

EghtesadOnline: Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi is scheduled to deliver a speech at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) on Tuesday.

Araqchi will express Iran’s stances on regional and international developments.

The UNHRC was established in 2006 and has 47 members. All UN members can become member of the UNHRC, according to ILNA.

The UN Human Rights Council replaced the UN Human Rights Commission.
