EghtesadOnline: Iran’s Ambassador in Bucharest Hamid Moayyer in a meeting with Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu on Thursday discussed avenues for promoting bilateral cooperation in the fields of politics, economy and research.
Moayyer said that Iran and Romania can have wide-scale cooperation in various spheres due to the potential capacities of the two countries, according to IRNA.
Meanwhil, the Romanian minister referred to the latest talks held between political officials of the two countries and said that Romania's new government gives great priority to its relations with Iran.
In January 2017, the Romanian Parliament approved a new left-leaning coalition government.
Pointing to long-standing ties between the two capitals and the remarkable increase in their trade exchanges in recent years, he called for boosting contacts and consultations between Tehran and Bucharest.
