Iran's Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu met in the Russian capital on Monday to hold talks on Syria developments.
According to ILNA, The two officials also discussed regional developments and cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.
Shamkhani who is the senior coordinator for political, military and security affairs with Syria and Russia talked with Shoigu on mutual coordination between Tehran and Moscow for political resolution of Syria crisis.
They also reviewed developments in Syria in the recent few months.
Shamkhani arrived in Moscow on Monday to confer with Russian officials on regional developments and Syria.
Iran, Russia and Syria have agreed to step up cooperation in their fight against Takfiri terrorists who are wreaking havoc across Syria and elsewhere in the region.
Russian defense minister and Syrian Defense Minister Fahd Jassem al-Freij visited Tehran in June 9 this year and discussed ways to boost anti-terrorism cooperation in a trilateral meeting with their Iranian counterpart Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan.
