EghtesadOnline: Director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) International Affairs has announced that 62 percent of the Iranian oil is being exported to the Asian countries and the rest to the European states.

Speaking to IRNA, Mohsen Qamsari noted that China at present is the biggest buyer of Iran's oil as it was in the sanctions era.

Anti-Iran sanctions were lifted on January 16, 2016.

The average daily exports of Iran's oil to China are over 600,000 barrels, the official said, adding that the oil sold to the small Chinese refineries is not included in this figure.

Deputy Director of National Energy Administration of China Zhang Yuqing who travelled to Iran in May announced that his country was to attract fifty percent of Iran's oil exports.

Iran plans to raise its oil production to four million barrels per day by the end of its calendar year on March 20, 2017.
