Diplomacy only solution to Syrian crisis: Iran

He made the remarks in reaction to the remarks by his US counterpart John Kirby who had made a statement on the possibility of non-diplomatic options for solving the Syrian crisis.

Six years of war, massacre of innocent people, destruction of infrastructures and displacement of Syrians repeatedely proved the fanning the flames of hostilities, encouraging bloodshed and promoting of terrorism, he said. 

According to IRNA, Qasemi also recommended all engaged parties in Syrian crisis, especially trans-regional states, to prioritize peaceful approaches, particularly Syrian-Syrian talks, in their diplomatic efforts in solving the problem.

No doubt, the Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson said, everybody will eventually will come to the point that diplomacy and dialogue are the only solutions to the Syrian crisis, he said.
