Iran not to ignore Mina martyrs' blood, says Rouhani
EghtesadOnline: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani reiterated that the country would continue legal and political pursuit to vindicate rights of Mina tragedy martyrs.
“The government and system of the Islamic Republic of Iran will never ignore blood of the oppressed martyrs in Mina and will continue legal and political pursuit to vindicate rights of Mina tragedy martyrs,” Rouhani said in cabinet meeting.
He said that Saudi government has prevented sending Iranian Hajj performers through making obstructions, reports ISNA.
Rouhani continued that a large number of Iranians became martyred in Eid al-Adha in Mina last year due to inefficiency and imprudence of Saudi Arabia.
He further noted that Saudi Arabia should have been held accountable for martyrs of many Hajj performers in Mina, but it refused to offer apology to Islamic states over the issue.
Iranian president called on regional states and the Islamic World to take coordinated steps to settle the ongoing problems and punish Saudi Arabia for conducting Hajj in Mecca in real terms, rescuing regional states from Saudi support for terrorism and helping Yemenis live in peace and security.
