EghtesadOnline: Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said on Wednesday that Iran will not allow terrorists to turn the Middle East the scene for massacre and bloodbath.

Qassemi made the remark in reaction to the statement made by the UK Foreign Office spokesman in an interview with the Daily Mail on Iran's military role in the region, according to IRNA.

He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran never divides the ugly and sinister terrorism to good and bad phenomenon.

'The Islamic Republic of Iran will never allow terrorists to turn the sensitive and strategic Middle East region the scene of murder and massacre.'

He said that the British government should take accurate account of the situation on the ground in the Middle East and the stand of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He said that he was surprised to see such unwise and unrealistic expressions being made by the UK foreign office spokesman about the constructive role of Iran.

'London should know more than all European capitals that as victim of terrorism, Iran has always been on the frontline of campaign against extremism and terrorism. Iran will remain firmly in that way without any hesitation. As all know, the Islamic Republic of Iran will with all its might strive for peace, stability and security of the region and presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria is consultative in nature on the demand of the Syrian legitimate government.'

Tehran hopes that Washington, London and other European capitals will understand the ceaseless and peace seeking efforts of Iran in maintaining stability and security of the region and suppress Takfiri terrorists in action and not by words in favor of the troubled people that are resentful about terror and violence, Qassemi said.
