EghtesadOnline: Pakistan is committed to remove banking obstacles with Iran as soon as possible to promote full fledge trade ties with the Islamic Republic, says the country's commerce minister.
Khurram Dastgir Khan met Mehdi Honardoost Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan on Tuesday and the two explored ways of promoting trade ties between the neighboring nations, reports ISNA.
There is serious will both in Iran and Pakistan for taking major strides toward full engagement between the two countries especially in the economic and trade fields, they said during their meeting.
Reactivating the banking channels between the two countries is going to establish an important step to enhance trade exchanges between the two nations, Dastgir Khan said.
The Pakistani minister also emphasized the realization of an annual five billion dollar trade exchange level agreed by Iran and Pakistan heads of states.
Honardoost, on his part, also referred to the big investment potential and business activities in Iran's Chabahar Trade-Industrial Free Zone.
The Iranian envoy called on the Pakistani investors and the private sector in the country to engage in the trade and industrial zone in southern Iran.
