Iraqi commander: Daesh in Iraq to end soon
EghtesadOnline: Commander of Nineveh province Brigadier General Najm al-Jabouri said Daesh will come to its end in Iraq soon.
Talking to IRNA on Friday, he said presently Daesh lacks its former capabilities and uses only car bombs and suicide attacks.
He said the Daesh terrorist group is not the threat it used to be.
He said his forces have liberated a sensitive region from Daesh rule and the engineering units are now trying to dismantle the explosive traps planted there by the terrorist group.
He said gaining control on Al Qayyarah was very important for his forces as Daesh kept attacking them with mortars for months.
