Improving ties with neighbors, high priority for Iran foreign policy: Official
EghtesadOnline: Special Aide to Parliament Speaker for International Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said expanding friendly relations with neighboring countries is Iran’s top priority.
According to IRNA, he said the recent remarks by the Kuwaiti Emir and Assembly speaker about the need for political settlement of regional crises is welcomed by Tehran.
He reiterated that Iran always welcomed expansion and fostering of relations with regional countries especially those located in the Persian Gulf region.
The official believed parliament diplomacy was the best way to increase regional convergence in the present sensitive juncture.
Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker Marzouq al-Qanim has underlined the need for preparing the necessary grounds for strengthening of relations with Iran by Kuwait and other member-states of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC).
