EghtesadOnline: Secretary of Iranian Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani stressed extensive and strategic relations of Iran and Afghanistan, and called for finding sustainable solutions to establish security in joint borders.

Shamkhani in a meeting with Afghan National Security Adviser Mohammad Hanif Atmar condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and said spreading unrest through sectarian and terrorists conflicts is the old policy of certain powers to lessen national potential and regional status of Islamic states.

He also expressed satisfaction with the increasing role of Afghan military and police forces in creating stability in Afghanistan.

Atmar, for his part, said all-out confrontation against terrorism and extremism is possible through the approach of regional security and interaction among all countries.

He is visiting Iran for a two-day visit.
