The Sultanate of Oman and Iran signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and two cooperation agreements in Sa’dabad Palace, Tehran, to enhance development and investments between the two countries.

The two memoranda of understanding deal with promoting investments and boosting development in economic zones and free zones.

The two agreements deal with exchanging oil information and the joint study on the Hengam-Bakha field project, Oman News Agency reported on Sunday.

The first MoU was signed by Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Qais Mohammed Al Yousef and Iran’s Minister of Economic and Financial Affairs Ehsan Khandouzi.

The second MoU was signed by Al Yousef and Hojjatollah Abdolmaleki, Iran’s advisor to the president and secretary of the High Council for Free Zones.

The two agreements were signed by Oman’s Minister of Energy and Minerals Salim Nasser Al Aufi and Iran’s Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian.

The signing ceremonies were attended by the official delegations of both sides.
