EghtesadOnline: Iran and Belarus have signed a protocol to establish a permit-free procedure for international road freight transport.

Belarusian Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Avramenko met with Iran’s Roads and Urban Development Minister Mehrdad Bazrpash within the framework of the official visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Iran, BelTA learned from the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry.

"I hope that both parties will be able to ratify the protocol soon to give road carriers an opportunity to transport goods without permits as soon as 2023," Avramenko said.

On March 26, Iran's Mahan Air is scheduled to launch a regular flight from Tehran to Minsk twice a week.

Belarus is also interested in participating in the International North-South Transportation Corridor.
