EghtesadOnline: A total of 273,000 tons of goods worth $163.87 million were exported from Golestan Province during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21), registering an 8% decline in weight, but a 23% growth in value compared with last year’s corresponding period, according to a local customs official.

Polystyrene, cheese, dates, iodine, iron pipes and profiles, particle boards, raisins, copper wire and tomato paste were the main exported products.

“A total of 33 countries were the main destination of exports from Golestan, the main ones being Kazakhstan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Romania, Bulgaria, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Russia and Pakistan during the period,” Ebrahim Hosseini was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
