Prices of Cleansers Up 25%
EghtesadOnline: The prices of soap, toothpaste, washing powder, dishwashing liquid and handwashing liquid have increased by 25%, says Bakhtiar Alam-Beigi, the head of Cleanser, Sanitary and Cosmetic Industry's Association, adding that other products of this industry will see a 20% rise in prices.
The rise in prices come with the aim of increasing the rates of petrochemical raw materials and wages in the cleanser industry.
Alam-Beigi noted that this is the first increase in cleanser, sanitary and cosmetic products’ prices in the fiscal 2021-22.
