EghtesadOnline: A total of 71,500 tons of non-oil commodities worth $82 million were exported from Maragheh County of East Azarbaijan Province in the last Iranian year, registering a 19.66% decline in weight but a 57.7% rise in value compared with the year before.

“The exports included sheet glass, mirrors, baking soda, sodium carbonate, raisins, dates, apples and different kinds of metal products, which mainly headed to Iraq, Armenia, Azerbaijan Republic, Ukraine and Turkey,” Heydar Jalalzadeh, a local official, was quoted as saying by IRNA.

Located 127 kilometers south of the provincial capital of Tabriz, Maragheh is a hub of industrial and agricultural production and a leading region in food processing industries in the northeastern province.
