SCI: Graduate Unemployment at 14.3% in Q3
EghtesadOnline: Unemployment rate for university graduates stood at 14.3% in the third quarter of the current fiscal year (Sept. 22-Dec. 20, 2020), posting a 3.1% year-on-year decrease.
Higher education unemployment rate for men stood at 10.3% and that of women was around 23.4%, the Statistical Center of Iran reported.
The share of higher education unemployment from the total unemployed population was 40.2% in Q3, which indicates a decline of 3.1% year-on-year.
The unemployment shares of male and female graduates from the total unemployed population stood at 28.1% and 70.3%, respectively, while the share of higher education unemployment from the total unemployed population were 43.4% in urban areas and 27% in rural areas during the period.
