EghtesadOnline: Atotal of 3.13 quadrillion rials ($12.06 billion) worth of investments have been made in industrial units with establishment permits during the eight months of the current Iranian year (March 20-Nov. 20), registering an increase of 48.6% compared with the similar period of last year.
A total of 25,108 establishment permits were issued over the period, registering a 45.4% year-on-year growth.
These projects created 563,270 jobs, which is 41.2% more compared with the year before, the latest report released by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade shows.
Moreover, 1.36 quadrillion rials ($5.26 billion) are estimated to have been invested in projects with operating licenses during the period under review, indicating a 389.7% year-on-year jump.
A total of 4,565 operating licenses were issued during the period, which shows an 11.6% rise YOY. These projects are expected to create 86,581 jobs, 35.8% less compared with last year’s corresponding period.
Also, 410 mineral production permits were issued during the period, which have created a total of 3,365 jobs, registering a 12.5% and 2.4 increase respectively compared with the similar period of last year.
Exploration costs stood at 844 billion rials ($3.25 million), registering a 9% increase YOY.
