EghtesadOnline: Three new hospital have recently become operational across the country.

President Hassan Rouhani inaugurated the hospitals in the provinces of Gilan, Mazandaran and Kurdestan during a videoconference ceremony held last week. 

A total of 2.6 trillion rials ($9.64 million) worth of investments were made for the construction of these hospitals, which have added 690 beds to the country’s health system, according to a deputy minister of roads and urban development, Mohammad Jafar Alizadeh, ILNA reported.

The official noted that four other hospitals in Sistan-Baluchestan Province with 222 beds, Gilan Province with 132 beds, Kerman Province with 149 beds and Hamedan Province with 154 beds are in the final stages of being equipped and will be inaugurated by the end of President Rouhani’s second term (August 2021).
