Utilities Inflation at 22.8%
EghtesadOnline: The average goods and services Consumer Price Index of utilities (gas, electricity and water) in the 12-month period ending Aug. 21, which marks the end of the fifth Iranian month, increased by 22.8% compared with last year’s corresponding period.
The CPI of the so-called "Housing, Water, Electricity, Natural Gas and Other Fuels" group among 12 groups of the basket of consumer goods and services purchased by households stood at 189.7 for the month under review, indicating a 2.8% increase compared with the month before.
The group’s CPI index, which has the biggest impact on total inflation rate with a coefficient of 35.5%, registered a year-on-year increase of 25.8%.
