Gov’t Tapping Into NDFI Resources
EghtesadOnline: A total of 56.5 trillion rials ($245.11 million) have been paid as part of coronavirus package from the National Development Fund of Iran, ISNA quoted Hamid Pour-Asghari, an official with the Plan and Budget Organization of Iran, as saying.
A few months ago, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei had authorized the government to withdraw €1 billion from NDFI resources.
“The needs of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education to confront the coronavirus crisis would be met through NDFI resources,” the president wrote in a letter to the head of Plan and Budget Organization of Iran, Mohammad Baqer Nobakht.
