EghtesadOnline: The Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran issued non-compliance licenses for 128 non-standard import shipments and returned them to the country of origin in the last Iranian year (March 2019-20), Nayyereh Pirouzbakht, the head of the institute, said.

Forty-nine cargos of food products, 20 cargos of electronic devices, 17 shipments of home appliances, six batches of fabrics and leather, 24 shipments of auto parts and 12 cargos of tapware failed compliance standards of Iran.

“The total weight of these cargos stood at 24,220 tons, of which 16,643 tons constituted eight shipments of field corn imported from Romania and Russia via ports of Noshahr and Imam Khomeini.
