Yazd Hosts Int’l Mining Expo

Participants in the four-day event are showcasing machinery and equipment used in underground and surface mining, as well as road construction, steelmaking, metallurgy and casting. Over 100 domestic and foreign companies are attending, as IRNA reported. Yazd is one of Iran’s notable mineral-rich provinces, as it is home to 14 marble, iron ore, lead and zinc, granite, bauxite, gypsum and limestone mines, according to Financial Tribune.
