EghtesadOnline: During a trip to the Netherlands, Agricultural Jihad Minister Mahmoud Hojjati, heading a delegation consisting of deputies, managers and the representatives of the private sector, met with Netherlands' Minister of Economic Affairs Henk Kamp.

Hojjati referred to both countries' interest in developing bilateral ties in all fields, especially in the economic domain, reiterating that Iran enjoys abundant capacity in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry based on which Dutch entrepreneurs and investors would be able to contribute into implementation of projects for development of the agriculture sector.

According to IRNA, he added that Iran is among the first countries to produce garden products, namely pistachios, dates, pomegranates and apricots.

Henk Kamp noted that Iran's nuclear deal with the P5+1 created a good opportunity for many countries to develop their ties with the country.

At the end of the meeting, Iran and the Netherlands inked an MoU, calling for cooperation in the fields of food and agriculture, fisheries, management, animal husbandry, dairy products, hygiene, and health, while envisioning optimizing the agriculture and marketing systems.
