EghtesadOnline: Iran has put into operation its first shipping line from Chabahar Port to Muscat, Oman, according to a related top official.

Managing Director of the Ports and Maritime Organization, Mohammad Saeednejad, told IRNA that as the new passenger terminal opened in Chabahar Port, the first passenger cruise departed the port for Muscat on Wednesday.
Saeednejad said the shipping line is to operate regularly between Chabahar Port and Muscat, capital of Oman, every Wednesday.
'We intend to increase number of the services of the shipping line in future.'
Saeednejad, who is also Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development, said regarding inauguration of the new passenger terminal in Chabahar Port, Iran may establish, if necessary, such shipping lines between Chabahar Port and other ports in the region, including the Pakistani ports.
