Southwest Asia’s Biggest Facemask Factory Opens in Alborz
EghtesadOnline: The biggest facemask production unit in Southwest Asia was inaugurated in Alborz Province, ISNA reported on Tuesday.
It has a production capacity of 3,000 respiratory masks and 100,000 N95 masks per day, according to a local government official, Azizollah Shahbazi.
Located in Eshtehard, the capital of Eshtehard District of Karaj County, Alborz Province, 900 billion rials ($5.59 million) have been invested in the factory, according to Financial Tribune.
According to the official, with the new production unit, Iran's facemask production capacity has quadrupled.
"About 400 direct and 900 indirect jobs have been created," Shahbazi said.
