IRICA Unveils Smart Customs System
EghtesadOnline: The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration unveiled its smart customs system on April 7, with senior governmental officials, including First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri, Economy Minister Farhad Dejpasand and Industries Minister Reza Rahmani, in attendance.
The system advocates the adoption of innovative measures and application of new technologies to enforce smarter customs control and management to ensure security and improvement of trade, Financial Tribune reported.
IRICA is looking to expand the efficiency of cross-border single-window system and the e-TIR international system as part of the smart customs plans, IRNA reported.
