EghtesadOnline: Ferry boats are now operating regularly between Iran’s Shahid Bahonar Port in Bandar Abbas and the UAE’s Sharjah as well as between Hormozgan’s Bandar Lengeh and Dubai, the head of Ports and Maritime Organization said.

“There’s also one liner sailing between Khorramshahr in Khuzestan Province and Kuwait, despite occasional cancellations and rescheduling,” Mohammad Rastad was also quoted as saying by News.mrud.ir.

The PMO chief noted that the cancellation of passenger travel between Iran and its two neighbors, Qatar and Oman, was because their services were not financially feasible, according to Financial Tribune.

Rastad said air travel tends to be more attractive to passengers, thanks to lower cost and shorter travel time.
