Iran Mercantile Exchange Growth 6% in 1 Month
EghtesadOnline: The total value of commodities traded at the Iran Mercantile Exchange increased 6% during the seventh month (Sep.23- Oct. 23) of the current fiscal year compared to a month earlier.
About 2.10 million tons of goods worth 109 trillion rials ($973.2 million) changed hands during the period, the IME website reported.
A total of 1.230 million tons of commodities worth more than 60.57 trillion rials ($540.8 million) were traded in IME's petrochemical and petroleum market.
More than 294,302 tons of bitumen, 315,246 tons of polymeric materials, 315,160 tons of vacuum bottom, 122,800 tons of lube cuts, 66,690 tons of sulfur, 11,563 tons of moisture insulation, 8,073 tons of base oil and 98,310 tons of other chemicals were sold on this platform, according to Financial Tribune.
The value of trade on IME's industrial and mineral market reached 48.48 trillion rials ($432.89 million).
An estimated 872,172 tons of commodities were traded during the one-month period. Steel held the lion's share with more than 841,439 tons.
Traded commodities in this market included 14,345 tons of copper, 480 tons of molybdenum concentrates, 13,860 tons of aluminum and 64 kilograms of gold ingots.
More than 2,359 tons of products changed hands at the IME Side Market.
