EghtesadOnline: Shipping services between Chabahar’s Shahid Beheshti Port and Indian ports are available on a weekly basis, Behrouz Aqaee, director general of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Sistan- Baluchestan Province said on Tuesday.

Since July 26, two high-capacity, ocean-going ships have docked at southeastern port of Shahid Beheshti in Chabahar and the third is to arrive on August 14.

Services providing bi-weekly departures from Chabahar and Indian ports were launched in

February, Aqaee was quoted as saying by the news outlet of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, according to Financial Tribune.

Vessels, primarily in the form of containerships and roll-on/roll-off ships, carry about 60% of the goods in value terms internationally each year by sea.
