EghtesadOnline: A total of 19,980 public complaints were filed against goods and service providers with the industries, mining and trade organizations of Iran's 31 provinces during the 11 months to Feb. 19, 85% of which pertained to products and the rest to services.
According to Shahram Mirakhorlou, an official with the Consumer and Producer Protection Organization, most of the complaints were related to bread, fruits and vegetables.
“Restaurants and auto repair shops were service centers accounting for the majority of complaints,” the official was quoted as saying by Mizan Online.
Mirakhorlou noted that most of the complaints had profiteering and fraud at their core, Financial Tribune reported.
Iranian citizens can file complaints against businesses through the hotline 124.
