EghtesadOnline: Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index TEDPIX gained 535.80 points or 0.33% on Sunday to end trading at 161,309.8.
More than 2.56 billion shares valued at 8.29 trillion rials ($77.54 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Trading at TSE and Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends on Wednesday and is also closed for national holidays.
ChinChin (a food company) and Absal Household Appliances Company were the biggest winners as their shares went up 4.99% to 10,643 and 3,220 rials per share, respectively, Financial Tribune reported.
Sepahan Oil Company incurred the biggest losses among all TSE-listed companies and went down 7.62% to 26,467 rials per share.
Bank Mellat gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company.
National Iranian Copper Industries contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Sepahan Oil Company and Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Company.
The Price Index gained 155.77 points to close at 46,892.0.
The First Market Index was up 633.33 points to post 118,810.3.
The Second Market Index decreased by 81, 71 points to reach 321,483.3.
The Industry Index went up by 285.38 points to register 144,870.4.
The Free Float Index gained 754.23 points to hit 174,981.28.
The TSE 30 went up 37.19 points to settle at 7,914.8 and the TSE 50 ended 24.55 points higher to finish at 6,963.3.
At the over-the-counter market, Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX gained 3.26 points or 0.17% to close Sunday trade at 1,869.18.
Over 614 million shares and securities valued at $37.10 million were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
