EghtesadOnline: Iran has succeeded in meeting all health and safety requirements for exporting agricultural commodities to Vietnam, an official with the Ministry of Agriculture said.
“Vietnam is one of Iran’s key export destinations for agricultural commodities in Southeast Asia. Over the past two years, the country’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has introduced strict supervisory regulations for the import of agricultural products. Thus far, only 45 countries have been included on the list of licensed exporters to that country,” Houman Fathi, chairman of the Agriculture Ministry’s Department for International Affairs, was also quoted as saying by IRNA on Monday.
Fathi noted that Iran’s application for livestock export license to Vietnam has also been submitted and is currently in the final stages of revision, Financial Tribune reported.
