EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 7.63 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $4.97 billion with the UAE during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a 1.6% and 2.68% decline in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s statistics indicate.
Iran’s exports to the UAE stood at 6.15 million tons worth $2.80 billion, down 0.90% in tonnage and up 31.95% in value year-on-year. The UAE was Iran’s second biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported gas condensates, cathode, oil gases and hydro carbides to the UAE during the four-month period. The Arab country exported 1.48 million tons of goods worth $2.16 billion to Iran, down 4.40% and 27.36% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. It was the second major exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. Imports mainly included cellphones, benzene and machinery, according to Financial Tribune.
