EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 622,727 tons of non-oil commodities worth $305.92 million with Thailand during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21), registering a 5.76% and 25.11% rise in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration also reported that Iran exported 528,912 tons of commodities worth $252.24 million to the Southeast Asian country to register an increase of 11.68% and 44.41% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year.
Thailand was Iran’s ninth biggest export destination during the period.
Iran mainly exported non-alloy metal, steel ingot, non-alloy metal, liquefied propane and semi-finished metal and steel products to Thailand during the three-month period, according to Financial Tribune.
Iran imported 96,814 tons of non-oil goods worth $53.68 million, down 18.56% and 23.15% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. Thailand was the 26th major exporter of goods to Iran during the three months.
The imports mainly included medium-density fiber, electrical equipment and tobacco.
