EghtesadOnline: The private sector will file a complaint against the government for the repeated power outages of recent weeks, the deputy head of Industries, Mines and Trade House of Iran said.

“The manufacturing plants should be compensated for losses and problems caused by lack of electricity,” ISNA also quoted Bijan Panahizadeh as saying. Noting that the most important problem is the rise in production costs, Panahizadeh said producers cannot stop tax payments, insurance costs and workers’ salaries when the electrical power goes out. The Energy Ministry has announced the daily timetable of blackouts in the metropolis since past two weeks, as the province suffers a water shortage unprecedented in the past few decades, which has significantly reduced hydropower generation, Financial Tribune reported.
